Paid Holidays

All active employees will be entitled to the following 11 paid holidays for the work day on which the holiday is observed:

New Year’s Day

Martin Luther King

President’s Day

Memorial Day


Independence Day

Labor Day

Veterans Day

Thanksgiving Day

Day after Thanksgiving

Christmas Day

Payment for a holiday will be eight (8) hours at straight time rate of pay for the position to which assigned. To qualify for holiday pay, the employee must work the regularly scheduled workday before and after the holiday. Paid vacation will be considered as having worked for qualifying purposes.

Employees required to work on a holiday will be paid in accordance with Rule 13. For purposes of this rule, paid holiday pay of eight hours will count towards the accumulation of 40 hours in the work week.
